Graphical Interface

This chapter presents the web interface of Genymotion SaaS. The web interface can be accessed at https://cloud.geny.io.

Profile

Avatar

Avatar uses the Gravatar service for profile pictures. Gravatar is a widely used service that lets users define a single avatar for display on many sites.
To set up an avatar, click Create your own Gravatar, create an account, and follow the instructions. The avatar will then appear on Genymotion SaaS.

Name

The first and last name are used within Genymotion SaaS and in emails to identify virtual devices.
The name helps with account management and addressing the user.

Change Password

The password can be changed here.
Changing the password does not require changing the name or avatar.

Datacenter

Datacenter location appears in the upper-right corner of the top toolbar.

Administrators can switch datacenters by expanding the dropdown and selecting another datacenter.

Only administrators are allowed to change the datacenter.

Virtual devices

The Virtual devices page lists the virtual devices currently running in Genymotion SaaS.

For each device, the page shows the device name and the owner who shared the device.

The creation date and time of the virtual device are shown as well.

The information can be sorted by clicking the column titles.

The view can be customized in the Manager settings.

When the Refresh control is highlighted, new data becomes available.

Click the Refresh control to update the data.

The page supports actions for organization virtual devices, including Display and Stop.

The page also supports Save recipe and Message owner actions.

Actions can be performed by selecting one or more devices with checkboxes or by using per-device actions.

Devices life-cycle

A virtual device can have the following statuses:

| Status | Description | |---|---| | Creating | Genymotion is configuring a new virtual device based on the chosen recipe. | | Starting | The virtual device is starting. | | Booting | Android is booting on the virtual device. | | Online | The virtual device is running and ready to use. | | Saving | Genymotion is saving the virtual device configuration as a recipe. | | Saved | The recipe has just been saved; the virtual device will stop soon. | | Stopping | The virtual device is stopping. | | Offline | The virtual device is now stopped. | | Recycled | The virtual device has been automatically shut down according to settings. | | Expired | The virtual device has been stopped because the license has expired. | | Revoked | The virtual device has been stopped due to a subscription problem. | | Error | The virtual device has stopped unexpectedly. |

Start

You can quickly start a new virtual device by clicking Start.

Recipes

Recipes are a combination of hardware profiles and images.

You can view the different types of recipes from this page.

All Recipes displays all recipes by default.

Official Recipes displays official (template) recipes.

Custom Recipes displays user-created and shared custom recipes.

A search bar in the upper-right lets you find a recipe by name or UUID.

To start a virtual device from a recipe, click Start on the desired recipe card.

Hardware profiles

Hardware profiles define a virtual device’s hardware specifications, such as vCPUs, RAM, and disk size.

Navigate to Recipes > Hardware profiles to view official and/or custom hardware profiles.

The view can be filtered with All Hardware profiles, Official Hardware profiles, or Custom Hardware profiles.

A search bar in the upper-right helps locate a hardware profile by name.

To create a custom recipe from a hardware profile, click the hardware profile card.

Images

Images are Android OS disk images used by virtual devices.

Official images include arm64 and x86/x86_64, plus multiple Android versions such as 16.0 (beta), 15.0, 14.0, 13.0, 12.1, 12.0, 11.0, 10.0, 9.0 Pie.

Note: x86/x86_64 images are deprecated and will be removed after March 30, 2026.

Navigate to Recipes > Images to view official and/or custom images.

Filter images with All images, Official Images, or Custom Images.

You can search by name or UUID as well.
