How to connect a USB device to a virtual device with Genymotion Desktop?

> Note: - This method is only available with VirtualBox hypervisor. It is not doable on Apple Mac M series computers. - It is possible to connect a USB device to Genymotion virtual devices via VirtualBox but Genymotion does not guaranty it will work. The USB device has to be supported by the Linux kernel of Genymotion. Otherwise, the USB device will not be detected.

VirtualBox provides everything needed to connect host USB to the virtual machine.

Steps

1. Start VirtualBox.

2. Start your Genymotion virtual device.

3. As soon as the virtual device is in Running state in VirtualBox, click on Show. The virtual machine window controls the Genymotion virtual device.

4. Click Devices > USB and select your USB device. The USB device will be connected to the Genymotion virtual device.
