Does Genymotion SaaS use the Genymotion Device Image?

• Genymotion SaaS is a fully managed, cloud‑based testing platform. You access virtual devices through the Genymotion web UI or API, and the underlying infrastructure is operated by Genymotion. Billing is done via monthly or annual subscription plans (e.g., “Best Value”, “Enterprise”, “Unlimited Runtime”).

• Genymotion Device Image is an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) that you launch yourself on AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. It provides the same Android virtual device software, but you run it on your own cloud resources. This product is sold only on a pay‑as‑you‑go, per‑instance‑hour basis (no yearly subscription option).

So, while the SaaS service may internally use the same Android emulator binaries, the Device Image you subscribe to in the AWS Marketplace is not the same offering as Genymotion SaaS, and the SaaS pricing does not apply to the Marketplace image. If you need a managed SaaS experience with annual pricing, you would subscribe to Genymotion SaaS; if you prefer to run the image yourself on your cloud, you use the Device Image with hourly charges.
