How do I install the emulator?

Answer Medium Confidence (75%)

**How do I install the Genymotion emulator?**

Here’s a quick guide to get Genymotion Desktop installed on Windows (the Windows steps are shown in our desktop docs; macOS and Linux follow the same “Get Started” setup in their respective guides).

- Download the Genymotion Desktop installer for Windows from our site.

- Run the installer:

- If you’re upgrading or installing Genymotion with VirtualBox included, run the file named something like genymotion-X.Y.Z-vbox.exe. If you’re upgrading without VirtualBox, use genymotion-X.Y.Z.exe.

- Follow the on-screen setup wizard:

- Pick the setup language and click OK.

- Click Next to choose the destination folder (default: C:\Program Files\Genymobile\Genymotion).

- Choose whether to create a Start Menu folder and whether to create a desktop icon.

- Click Install.

- When finished, you can reboot now or later (Restart now button to reboot).

- After reboot, launch Genymotion and sign in or create your account to start creating and running virtual devices.

Notes:

- Genymotion Desktop is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. See the official Desktop Get Started guides for macOS and Linux installation steps: https://docs.genymotion.com/desktop

- We only support the latest Genymotion release; Windows 7 is not supported.

If you’re using macOS or Linux, follow the respective “Installation guides” in the Desktop User Guide:

- Windows: https://docs.genymotion.com/desktop/Get_started/011_Windows_install

- macOS/Linux: see the general Desktop Get Started installation guides at https://docs.genymotion.com/desktop

Would you tell me which OS you’re using (Windows, macOS, or Linux) and whether you want guided steps for creating your first virtual device as well?
