Can Genymotion Desktop run in a virtual machine?

Genymotion Desktop is meant to be installed and run on real hardware. Therefore, running Genymotion in a virtual environment is not supported.

Genymotion Desktop will not run in an instance from a Cloud service, such as AWS, GCP, Alibaba, or Microsoft Azure. See Can Genymotion Desktop run in a Cloud service (AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure, Alibaba, etc.)?
