Overview

Genymotion Desktop 3.10.0 is released.

This update is a major milestone in making Genymotion the most versatile Android emulation platform.

Version 3.10.0 brings local testing and cloud scaling into a single, unified workflow.

The biggest star of this release is the deep integration with Genymotion SaaS.

Cloud-based virtual devices can be viewed and orchestrated directly from the Desktop interface.

Remote devices can be interacted with in the same way as local devices.

No manual configuration is required.

Cloud devices appear in ADB automatically.

Cloud devices are instantly compatible with testing frameworks, IDEs, and logcat.

Desktop Power features include developer options, dynamic rooting, and gamepad support on SaaS instances.

The interface has been redesigned to be cleaner, faster, and more intuitive.

The installation wizard has been removed.

Launch a local virtual device in seconds.

Hardware profiles and Android images now have their own dedicated pages.

The hardware profile shows a screen preview before the device creation.

Deployment speed has improved.

Clipboard sharing is no longer a global, static setting.

Per-Device Control allows clipboard sharing to be enabled or disabled for each specific VM.

On-the-Fly Toggles change clipboard settings at runtime from the emulator toolbar without restarting the device.

One more detail: clipboard sharing is never enabled at first when using a Cloud virtual device.

Version 3.10.0 adds experimental OBS Virtual Camera support on Linux and macOS.

Sharing the OBS scene directly into the Android camera is now possible.

Iconography is refreshed to be consistent across Genymotion and official documentation.
