How to install Xposed/EdXposed/LSPosed with Genymotion Device image (PaaS)?
Warnings and notes
GENYMOBILE assumes no liability whatsoever resulting from the download, install, and use of Magisk, Xposed, Edxposed and LSPosed frameworks. Use them at your own risk.
Note: Using Xposed, EdXposed, LSPosed or Magisk to hide root will not work. Use a non-rooted image instead – see Is it possible to un-root or hide root?
Android 8.0 and above: Xposed and EdXposed are obsolete. We will be using LSPosed instead.
Prerequisites
- Magisk manager (Magisk-v23.0.apk)
- Magisk framework for x86_64 or Magisk framework for arm64
- Riru Magisk module v.25.4.4
- LSPosed framework
- LSPosed manager APK
Step 1: Install Magisk
1. Drag and drop the Magisk Manager APK: Magisk-v23.0.apk
2. Magisk Manager will install and open.
3. Close Magisk Manager for now.
4. Drag and drop the flashable archive: Magisk_rebuilt_1c8ebfac_x86_64.zip or Magisk_rebuilt_1c8ebfac_arm64.zip if you are using ARM64 instances.
5. When flashing is complete, reboot the instance.
6. Launch Magisk Manager.
7. It will request ROOT access; select "Remember choice forever" and click Allow.
8. It is possible that the popup opens in the background and is covered by Magisk Manager main window.
9. If the popup is hidden, press back to access the popup and allow ROOT.
10. You will then be prompted with an update to apply; accept it.
11. The instance will reboot one more time.
12. Launch Magisk Manager again; you should now be informed that Magisk is installed in 1c8ebfac(23015) version.
Step 2: Install Riru
1. Do not install the Riru version available in the Magisk Manager app. Use the old Riru v25 version provided in this article (see prerequisite).
2. Drag and drop the Riru archive onto the instance display: riru-v25.4.4-release.zip. The flashing process will fail, but this is normal. The archive must be installed from Magisk Manager.
3. Launch Magisk Manager app and click on the last icon in the bottom toolbar to go to the module section.
4. Click "install from storage".
5. Go to the Download folder from the menu.
6. Select the Riru archive, riru-v25.4.4-release.zip.
7. Reboot the instance.
8. Riru version 25 should now be present in the installed modules list in Magisk Manager.
Step 3: Install LSPosed
1. Drag and drop the LSPosed archive to the device. Do not flash it.
2. Open Magisk Manager, go to the plugin manager page.
3. Click Install from storage and select LSPosed-v1.8.6-6712-riru-release.zip.
4. Reboot the device when prompted.
5. Drag and drop LSPosed_manager.apk; LSPosed manager should open.
