Overview
Unlike Genymotion Desktop and Genymotion SaaS, there are no physical device templates with Genymotion Device image for Cloud providers.
The market place product page offers several Android versions. See Which Android versions are available?
The images are Android virtual machines which run directly on the cloud provider instances.
The default parameters are similar to an Amazon Kindle Fire 1st Gen.
The parameters can be customized to make the emulator mimic any other real device.
Customization steps
1. When creating the instance, choose an instance type (AWS, GCP, Alibaba, MS Azure). 2. Or change the instance shape (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). 3. The instance type or shape must use the number of CPU and RAM quantities that match the target device specifications. 4. Change the screen size to match those of your target device. 5. Change the DPI to match those of your target device. See Changing resolution. 6. You can also change properties such as Device, Product Name, and Manufacturer. See Changing product properties. 7. There are over 3000 combinations possible to mimic Android real phones and tablets. 8. This is achieved by multiplying Android version, RAM, number of processors, screen resolution, and DPI.
Note
The operation is limited by licensing restrictions. We are legally not allowed to use manufacturer ROMs. This means that you will not have access to any system customization or applications that manufacturers (Samsung, Google, Huawei, etc.) might have added in their proprietary Android ROM.
