Will the screen size be of a phone? i want it to be the size of my laptop screen?

You can make the virtual device match your laptop screen

Genymotion lets you change the device’s display resolution to any size you want, so you’re not forced to use the phone’s native dimensions.

How to set a laptop‑size screen

1. Open the device’s settings (right‑click the device in the Genymotion UI → Settings).

2. Go to Hardware → Display.

3. Uncheck “Use default resolution” (or similar toggle).

4. Enter the resolution of your laptop screen, e.g.:

  • 1920 × 1080 (Full HD)
  • 2560 × 1600 (MacBook Retina 13")
  • 3840 × 2160 (4K) – if your Mac’s GPU can handle it.

5. Click Save and restart the virtual device.

The Android UI will scale to the new dimensions, and the game will render at that size. Because you’re using a GPU‑accelerated device, the performance remains smooth even at higher resolutions.

Things to keep in mind

  • Aspect‑ratio – Android expects a portrait ratio (≈ 9:19) by default. If you set a landscape laptop resolution, the system will automatically rotate the UI, but some apps may show black bars; most games (including Arknights : Endfield) handle rotation fine.
  • RAM / CPU – Higher resolutions need a bit more memory and processing power. Keep the device configured with at least 8 GB RAM and 4 vCPU (as recommended for the game).
  • Screen scaling – If UI elements look too small, you can increase the “Display density (dpi)” in the same settings panel (e.g., 240 dpi for a comfortable size).

Once you’ve set the custom resolution, the virtual device will fill your laptop window, giving you a desktop‑sized view of the game. 🎮🖥️
