Camera and Media Injection

Host physical webcam

Your host physical webcam devices are listed in the Cameras box.

You can assign your host physical webcam devices to the virtual device front camera and/or back camera in the Video section.

To use your host machine webcam device, click GRANT ACCESS. Your browser will then ask confirmation to grant access.

Your host machine webcam will then be available in the Camera drop-down list.

Media inputs

You can use image, video, and audio files as audio and/or video inputs for the device.

> Warning: Genymotion Desktop does not include any codecs. Most media files should work “out of the box” on Linux and macOS. Windows media files may require Codec packs. Codec packs include .

Open the media folder

1. In the Media files box, click OPEN MEDIA FOLDER. 2. Copy your media files to the opened folder. The files you added should appear in the Media files box.

Use media inputs in the widget

When done, you can:

Inject media files to the device camera

You can also inject media files (videos and images) to the device camera.

1. In the drop-down list, select Custom media. 2. Drag'n drop your media file. You can also click Browse to browse your host machine folders.

Your media file will then be displayed in the device camera. A video media file will also be played in the device camera.
