Overview
Yes, it is possible to install and play games with Genymotion products.
However, there are considerations and limitations to be taken into account.
This article guides users to get the best result with minimal hassle.
1. Google Play Store and services are not preinstalled
The Open Gapps package must be installed to obtain Google Play Store.
Genymotion developers have made the installation as simple as possible.
The detailed steps are provided at How to install Google Play Store (and other Google Apps) in Genymotion.
2. Most games are only available for Android ARM64
The result will differ depending on the Genymotion product and system in use.
Genymotion Desktop
Android x86/x86_64 builds are not available for many games.
Many games will not install or run on a PC or Mac with Intel processors because Android x86/x86_64 builds are not available.
An Apple Mac M series computer is strongly recommended for playing games with Genymotion Desktop.
For more information, refer to How to play games with Genymotion Desktop.
Genymotion SaaS
