How to play games with Genymotion Desktop?

It is possible to install and play Android games with Genymotion Desktop, but there are several caveats to consider.

Google Play Store availability

Google Play Store is not preinstalled.

You need to install the Open Gapps package to get Google Play Store.

Compatibility and arm64 limitations

Most games are only available for Android arm64.

If Genymotion Desktop runs on a PC or a Mac Intel, you will encounter errors when installing from Google Play Store such as "This app won't work for your device," "Your device isn't compatible with this version," or "Not available for device."

If you install from an APK file, you will get an error.

These issues occur because Genymotion Desktop on PC/Mac Intel uses Android x86/x86_64, while most games are only compiled for Android arm64 (arm64-v8a).
