How to play games with Genymotion Desktop?

Overview

It is possible to install and play Android games with Genymotion Desktop.
There are several caveats to consider.

Google Play Store availability

Google Play Store is not preinstalled.
You need to install the Open Gapps package to get Google Play Store.

Arm64 compatibility

Most games are only available for Android arm64.
If Genymotion Desktop runs on a PC or a Mac Intel, you will likely encounter problems when installing from Google Play Store or via APK.
This is because Genymotion Desktop on PC/Mac Intel uses Android x86/x86_64.
Most games are arm64 (arm64-v8a).
Your best option is to use Genymotion Desktop on an Apple Mac M series computer – see the Compatibility List below for details.
