Android 15
- If you are using Android 15, please note that there are known compatibility issues with this Android image on Windows (see Genymotion Desktop release notes).
- We strongly recommend staying with Android 14 or lower on Windows until QEMU is fully implemented.
Intel(R) integrated GPU
- Note: This problem only affects Windows; Intel iGPU work very well with Genymotion on Linux.
- Genymotion Desktop rendering has performance and stability issues with the display drivers for Intel UHD/HD integrated GPUs on Windows due to limited OpenGLES support from Intel UHD/HD display drivers for Windows.
- If your computer uses this GPU family for display, we recommend using Linux instead of Windows.
- If using Linux is not an option, you can try lowering the maximum OpenGL ES API version to 3.0 or 2.0:
- When creating a new device, in the Display tab, Advanced section:
- In the device settings, in the DISPLAY tab, Advanced section:
Laptop with discrete GPU
- NVIDIA Optimus and AMD Switchable Graphics fail to set Genymotion Desktop to use the High performance discrete GPU.
- To fix this, you need to force Genymotion Desktop to use the High performance GPU. For detailed instructions, please refer to How to force Genymotion Desktop use the high performance discrete GPU on laptops?
Windows power mode is too low
- Make sure to set your power mode to Best Performance:
- The virtual device is too powerful for your hardware
The virtual device is too powerful for your hardware
- Android 9 and above require at least a 6 cores CPU and 8192MB of RAM to operate normally.
- If your computer does not meet the recommended hardware requirements, try using Android 8.1 or lower.
Use VirtualBox recommended version
- If you installed VirtualBox separately, or if you have an old installation, make sure that you use VirtualBox recommended version.
Disable Hyper-V
- Hyper-V is known to cause compatibility, performance and stability issues when using VirtualBox with Genymotion.
- It is recommended to disable it when using Genymotion. See How to disable Hyper-V in Windows? for instructions.
