What are the system requirements for Genymotion Desktop?

Genymotion Desktop can be used to its full potential with the following requirements. Note: Genymotion only supports the latest version and does not support Windows 7.

- Supported Operating Systems

- macOS

- Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit)

- Linux (64-bit)

- 32-bit systems, virtualization-based environments (e.g. VM) and server environments are not supported

- Basic Requirements

- Internet connection is required

- A Genymotion Desktop account is required (you can create and activate it during installation)

- Virtualization technology must be enabled (VT-x/AMD-V/SMV) while using Genymotion Desktop

- If Hyper-V is enabled on Windows, you may experience issues with VirtualBox; disabling Hyper-V is recommended

- Hardware Requirements (minimum/recommended)

- CPU: 64-bit Intel 6th generation or AMD Ryzen (PC); 64-bit Intel or Apple Silicon SoC (Mac M series)

- Graphics: A graphics card with OpenGL 3.3 or higher

- RAM: 16 GB or more

- Screen resolution: 1920x1080 or higher

- Free disk space: Approximately 300 MB for Genymotion; in addition, 2 GB for each virtual device

- Especially for Windows, NVIDIA or AMD GPUs are strongly recommended

- Other Information

- Genymotion Desktop cannot be run on servers and does not have a headless mode; GUI and full GPU acceleration are required

- 32-bit (x86) desktop versions of Genymotion are no longer supported
