It is possible to install and play Android games with Genymotion Desktop, but there are several caveats to consider.
1. Google Play Store is not preinstalled
You need to install the Open Gapps package to get Google Play Store.
We have made our best to make the installation as simple as possible. You will find all the detailed steps in How to install Google Play Store (and other Google Apps) in Genymotion?
Many games will not install from Google Play Store. If you get the error "Your device isn't compatible with this version.", use Aurora Store instead.

2. Most games are only available for Android arm64
If you run a local device with Genymotion Desktop on a PC or a Mac Intel, many games will refuse to install. This refusal happens even if you use Aurora Store or an APK file.
This is happening because Genymotion Desktop local devices on PC/Mac Intel uses Android x86/x86_64. Most games are now only compiled for Android arm64 (arm64-v8a).
You will need to use Genymotion Desktop on an Apple Mac M series computer, or use a Cloud device. See the Compatibility List below for details.
