How to share folders with Genymotion Desktop host machine?

Warning

• This tweak will not work with Android 10 (API 29) and above.
• Also, it can only be done with VirtualBox hypervisor - it is not doable on Apple Mac M series.

Overview

To share files between your computer and Genymotion Desktop virtual device, you can use the shared folder feature of VirtualBox.

Steps to share a folder

1. Open VirtualBox.

2. Select a virtual device and click Settings.

3. Select Shared Folders and click Add Shared Folder (Ins).

4. Browse for the folder you wish to share with the virtual device.

5. Check the Auto-mount option and click OK.

6. Click OK.

7. Start Genymotion Desktop.

8. Start your virtual device.

Note

The folder is available in the mnt/shared folder, accessible by default in Android's File Manager.
