Starting a virtual device fails with "VBoxHeadless.exe - Application Error. [...] The memory could not be read."

Problem description

On Windows, the error is typical on laptops with two GPUs.

One GPU is a low-profile integrated GPU with low performance.

The other GPU is a high-profile discrete GPU.

To fix the issue, Windows must use the high-profile discrete GPU by default.

To apply this fix, follow the instructions from the article: How to force Genymotion Desktop use the high performance discrete GPU on laptops?
