Are these real devices?

No, these are virtual Android devices, not physical phones or tablets. Genymotion Desktop lets you configure, launch, and manage them from its launchpad, and even notes that they are “virtual devices” in the Virtual Devices Settings.

They can mimic many real-device behaviors, but they are still emulated devices.
