Genymotion Desktop needs to connect to Genymotion servers to authenticate your account and download virtual devices.
If you are connected to a company network with heavy network security, it may prevent Genymotion Desktop from connecting to the Internet.
Security tools (firewall, antivirus, etc.) may prevent Genymotion Desktop from accessing the Internet.
Make sure your firewall allows the following:
Outgoing TCP ports 80 and 443 on *.genymotion.com
Outgoing TCP ports 80 and 443 on *.geny.io
Allow genymotion.exe and player.exe to communicate with vboxmanage.exe
If you are connected to a company network, contact your IT team and ask them to open the following ports:
Outgoing TCP ports 80 and 443 on *.genymotion.com
Outgoing TCP ports 80 and 443 on *.geny.io
MS Active Directory
MS Active Directory is a directory service by Microsoft used to manage access and security on Windows networks.
If your company uses Active Directory to manage access and security on your computer, please contact your local IT and ask them to allow genymotion.exe to reach our servers at genymotion.com and geny.io
