On Windows, if the device display looks like the image shown when running Android 8 or above:
Then, the issue may be caused by one of the following situations:
Causes on Windows
- The graphics card does not match Genymotion Desktop requirements.
- The display drivers are not up-to-date.
- The PC has an Intel integrated UHD/HD GPU (Windows only).
- Due to limited OpenGLES support from Intel display drivers for Windows, Genymotion Desktop has compatibility issues with some Intel UHD/HD integrated GPUs on Windows.
- Note that the problem only affects Windows; it does not happen on Linux.
- A laptop with dual GPU (discrete Nvidia/AMD GPU + Intel iGPU) is in use.
- Windows must be forced to use the NVidia or AMD high-performance discrete GPU globally, instead of the Intel low-performance discrete GPU.
- To do so, follow this tutorial: How to fix issues on Windows with laptops using hybrid graphics (dual GPU)?
- If Genymotion Desktop cannot run on a different machine with an NVIDIA or AMD GPU, lowering the OpenGLES version to 3.0 or 2.0 may help. For more details, refer to The virtual device crashes, freezes or fails to boot on Windows.
